Japanese Finance Minister Katsunobu Kato is scheduled to meet with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Thursday on the sidelines of the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.Kato stressed the need for international cooperation to stabilize markets, expressing concern about the negative impact of U.S. tariffs and other countries' retaliatory measures on global economic growth and financial market volatility.During the meeting, Kato and Bessent will discuss issues related to exchange rates, including the dollar-yen exchange rate, as well as the exchange rate between the dollar and the yen. The area of 139.50-141.50 described earlier has become a support zone. However, it is too early to talk about the trend change.
